Girl Power
A daughter's
martial arts expertise offers her parents peace-of-mind,
yet many girls never get an opportunity to learn.
Martial arts is male-dominated because many girls are
not as attracted to brute force and combat techniques.
At Calvin Chin's Martial Arts Academy, we have
leveled the playing field for boys and girls, as our
training method uses natural strength and proper
alignment based on the principles of body mechanics.
Skill gained through efficient use of force and total
coordination is the reward.
On the surface, our choreographed sequences
reflect the exquisite artistry of the form, much like
dance. Unlike dance, each movement carries an intent
reflecting the functional aspect of a traditional
martial art. Along with the practical knowledge gained,
our training method, Fu Hok Tai He Morn is a great
vehicle for developing a strong body and mind; lifting
the inner- spirit and enhancing self-awareness in
maturing girls.
